Easy Layered Chicken Tortilla

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup shredded tex-mex cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups sour cream, low fat works fine
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
  • 1 teaspoon tex-mex seasoning
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa, you choose the heat
  • 3 large tortillas, i like using salsa flavoured wraps
  • 1/2-1 cup shredded tex-mex cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 in large bowl stir together chicken, cheese, onion, sour cream, green chilies and seasoning.
  • 3 spray a 10-inch quiche or pie plate with no stick spray.
  • 4 pour 1 c salsa in dish.
  • 5 place tortilla inside dish making sure bottom of wrap is uniformly coated with salsa.
  • 6 spread half of chicken mix on top of tortilla.
  • 7 top with another tortilla.
  • 8 add remaining chicken mix.
  • 9 top with another tortilla.
  • 10 spread top with another 1/2 c salsa or more if needed to cover.
  • 11 sprinkle with remaining 1/2 c cheese.
  • 12 bake for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly.
  • 13 let stand 5 minutes.
  • 14 cut into wedges and serve with additional salsa.
