Double Cheese Crackers

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 -5 tablespoons cold water
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Recipe
- 1 in a large mixing bowl combine flour, red pepper, and salt.
- 2 using a pastry blender, cut in cheddar cheese and butter until pieces are the size of small peas.
- 3 sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the water over part of the mixture.
- 4 gently toss with a fork and push to side of bowl.
- 5 repeat until all of the flour mixture is moistened.
- 6 shape dough into a ball.
- 7 on a lightly floured surface flatten dough with your hands.
- 8 roll out dough from center to edges forming a 10-inch square.
- 9 brush with egg; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- 10 cut dough into 5x1/2-inch strips. place the strips 1/2 inch apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.
- 11 bake in a 400 degree f oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
