Ingredients

- 1 cup dried peaches
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup (karo)
- 1/2 teaspoon mace
- 1/2 lemon, juice and rind of, grated
Recipe
- 1 wash peaches; cover with boiling water and let stand overnight.
- 2 drain, reserving 1/2 cup water.
- 3 bring sugar, corn syrup and water to a boil; add mace, lemon juice and rind.
- 4 pour over peaches in a baking dish.
- 5 cover and bake at 300f for 2 1/2 hours.
