Dj's Oat Bars

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1 1/2 cups stone ground wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/8 cup hot water
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup low-fat butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 combine raisins, hot water, and lemon juice in bowl. let sit for 10 minutes.
  • 2 combine flour, oats, baking powder, and salt. let it rest.
  • 3 beat butter, oil, and sugar until well mixed. then add eggs and mix again.
  • 4 combine all ingredients in large bowl. stir well!
  • 5 spread dough in 9" x 13" greased baking dish.
  • 6 bake for 35 minutes at 350 deg., test with toothpick.
