Pasty Pie (northern Michigan Meat Pie)

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground sirloin
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 small rutabagas or 1/2 large rutabaga
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pie shell

Recipe

  • 1 brown ground sirloin and onion.
  • 2 dice potato and rutabaga and add to meat mixture.
  • 3 season.
  • 4 put meat mixture inside pie shell and seal.
  • 5 put fork marks in shell for ventilation.
  • 6 bake at 350f for 1 hour or until crust in golden brown.
  • 7 i like to spray the pan with non stick spray.
