Savory French Toast Bake

Ingredients

• butter
• 9 pieces bread, cut into bite size chunks
• 12 -15 pieces breakfast sausage, sliced thin
• 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
• 5 eggs
• 2 cups milk
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 2 tablespoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350.
• 2 oil large casserole dish.
• 3 it's easier to work with the bread if it's somewhat frozen. butter one side of each slice of bread and cut into bite sized chunks.
• 4 combine bread chunks, sausage pieces, and cheese in casserole dish.
• 5 whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and salt in separate bowl.
• 6 pour wet mixture over bread/sausages/cheese.
• 7 bake 15 minutes uncovered.
• 8 cover and bake another 30 minutes or until eggs are set.
• 9 if you prefer the top not to be crunchy, then leave cover on entire baking time.
