Liberal Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup ground roasted soybeans
- 1/4 cup powdered milk
- 1/4 cup ground flax seeds
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups skim milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 combine dry ingredients except walnuts in a large bowl, and mix well.
- 2 whisk wet ingredients together in smaller bowl.
- 3 pour liquid into dry ingredients, and mix until thoroughly blended.
- 4 heat waffle iron.
- 5 pour 1/4 cup waffle batter into waffle iron, and sprinkle a handful of nuts on top of batter.
- 6 bake for 4-5 minutes until waffle is crispy and brown.
- 7 serve hot, or reheat in the toaster later.
