Favorite Hot Chicken Salad Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 (28 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 cup whole natural almonds
  • 3 chopped hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 teaspoons chopped onions
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups crumbled ruffled potato chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 heat about 1 t oil in a large frying pan, add chicken breasts & cook until juies run clear.
  • 3 remove chicken, let cool & cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
  • 4 place in a large bowl & add all other ingredients except cheese & chips.
  • 5 pour into a 13 x 9 inch casserole dish.
  • 6 sprinkle with cheese & chips.
  • 7 bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes.
