Helen's Fricassee Soup

Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 chicken
  • 1 quart navy beans
  • 1 quart potato
  • 0.25 (11 ounce) box barley
  • 1 lb beef
  • 1/4 lb bacon
  • 1 1/2 quarts tomatoes
  • 1/2 pint onion

Recipe

  • 1 cook all ingredients! save broth from all ingredients!
  • 2 grind all ingredients into a medium size! in other words do not pulverize the ingredients! mix all ingredients and their broths together and cook slowly! add salt, red pepper and cloves to taste!
  • 3 caution! red peppers and cloves make the soup but too much will also ruin the soup!
