Flank Steaks With Mushrooms

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (1 lb) flank steaks, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
Recipe
- 1 1. combine light brown sugar, fresh ground black pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and garlic cloves in a shallow baking dish.
- 2 2. add flank steaks to dish, toss to coat.
- 3 3. cover baking dish with plastic wrap.
- 4 4. chill 3-6 hours, turning flank steaks occasionally.
- 5 5. remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade.
- 6 6. preheat grill to medium heat.
- 7 7. grill flank steaks 10 minutes with grill lid closed. turn, grill 10 additional minutes.
- 8 8. melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 9 9. add mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are tender and liquid has evaporated.
- 10 10. allow steaks to rest. cut steaks diagonally across the grain into thin strips.
- 11 11. serve with sautéed mushrooms.
