Flank Steaks With Mushrooms

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (1 lb) flank steaks, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 1. combine light brown sugar, fresh ground black pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and garlic cloves in a shallow baking dish.
  • 2 2. add flank steaks to dish, toss to coat.
  • 3 3. cover baking dish with plastic wrap.
  • 4 4. chill 3-6 hours, turning flank steaks occasionally.
  • 5 5. remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade.
  • 6 6. preheat grill to medium heat.
  • 7 7. grill flank steaks 10 minutes with grill lid closed. turn, grill 10 additional minutes.
  • 8 8. melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 9 9. add mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are tender and liquid has evaporated.
  • 10 10. allow steaks to rest. cut steaks diagonally across the grain into thin strips.
  • 11 11. serve with sautéed mushrooms.
