No-guilt Refried Beans

Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup thick & chunky salsa (i prefer pace picante, medium)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon margarine
Recipe
- 1 combine beans, salsa, onion and garlic powder in 2-quart saucepan. bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. reduce heat to medium-low. simmer for 7-10 minutes, or until onion is translucent, stirring occasionally.
- 2 add margarine. stir until melted. in food processor or blender, process mixture until smooth. serve as a taco or burrito ingredient, side dish, or as a dip to chips or vegetables.
