Scotcheroos Bars

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 6 cups rice krispies or 6 cups special k cereal
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips

Recipe

  • 1 in saucepan, bring brown sugar, syrup, and vanilla to a boil.
  • 2 remove from heat.
  • 3 stir in peanut butter.
  • 4 in large bowl mix cereal and sugar mixture together.
  • 5 press into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
  • 6 in a double boiler melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together.
  • 7 spread evenly over cereal.
  • 8 refrigerate for 20 minutes until firm.
  • 9 cut into bars.
