Scotcheroos Bars

Ingredients

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
- 6 cups rice krispies or 6 cups special k cereal
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 6 ounces butterscotch chips
Recipe
- 1 in saucepan, bring brown sugar, syrup, and vanilla to a boil.
- 2 remove from heat.
- 3 stir in peanut butter.
- 4 in large bowl mix cereal and sugar mixture together.
- 5 press into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- 6 in a double boiler melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together.
- 7 spread evenly over cereal.
- 8 refrigerate for 20 minutes until firm.
- 9 cut into bars.
