Crunchy Strips

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 10 flour tortillas
  • 1/2 teaspoon season salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, enough to fill a skillet a couple of inches deep

Recipe

  • 1 slice tortillas into thin strips 1/4-inch wide.
  • 2 next cut tortillas in half through the center.
  • 3 heat oil over medium heat until bubbly.
  • 4 drop in tortilla strips and season with half of seasoning while frying.
  • 5 turn constantly and cook until browned and crispy, about five minutes.
  • 6 transfer to paper towels and season with remaining seasoning.
  • 7 great served with soups, such as southwest chicken black bean (southwest chicken black bean soup).
