Grammie's Sweet Milk Cookies

Ingredients

• Servings: 3
• 1 egg
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar for decoration
• 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Recipe

• mix all ingredients, except flour. add enough flour to make a rollable dough, about 2 cups.
• roll out to approximately 1/2 inch thick. cut with round biscuit cutter and sprinkle with sugar.
• bake in a preheated 350 degree f (175 degree c) oven for 8 - 10 minutes.
