Old-fashioned Pot Roast

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 lbs beef roast
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 -2 sliced onion

Recipe

  • 1 dredge beef in flour, place in greased skillet and brown on all sides to seal in juices.
  • 2 lay sliced onions on top of roast.
  • 3 pour 1/2 cup of water over roast, cover and bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • 4 remove cover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
  • 5 tip: after baking for 2 hours, you may add potatoes and carrots and bake for 1 hour longer.
