Michigan Maple Pecan Squares

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup (from michigan)
- 2 eggs, beaten well
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375.
- 2 combine sugar and flour in a large bowl and cut in butter until it coarse crumbs form.
- 3 press crust into an 8x8 or 9x9 greased pan and bake 15 minutes.
- 4 topping:.
- 5 turn oven to 350.
- 6 combine dry ingredients (except pecans) in a large bowl.
- 7 in a separate bowl blend wet ingredients and add to dry ingredients.
- 8 fold in pecans.
- 9 pour over crust and bake 25 minutes.
