Michigan Maple Pecan Squares

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup (from michigan)
  • 2 eggs, beaten well
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375.
  • 2 combine sugar and flour in a large bowl and cut in butter until it coarse crumbs form.
  • 3 press crust into an 8x8 or 9x9 greased pan and bake 15 minutes.
  • 4 topping:.
  • 5 turn oven to 350.
  • 6 combine dry ingredients (except pecans) in a large bowl.
  • 7 in a separate bowl blend wet ingredients and add to dry ingredients.
  • 8 fold in pecans.
  • 9 pour over crust and bake 25 minutes.
