Mary's Ww Hamburger Barley Chili

Ingredients
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, no salt added
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can fat free chicken broth
- 1 cup quick-cooking barley
- 3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (8 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef, browned and drained

Recipe
- 1 spray soup pot with cooking spray for easy clean up.
- 2 add onion and garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- 3 add stewed tomatos, tomato sauce, water, chicken broth, chili powder, and cumin.
- 4 boil for 20 minutes on low heat. you really just want it to simmer.
- 5 stir ocasionally.
- 6 add black beans, corn and hamburger.
- 7 turn up heat and boil for 5 minutes.
- 8 eat and enjoy or cool and store for later use.
