Grilled Ham Steak With Southwestern Rub

- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 2 center-cut boneless ham steaks, 3/4 inch thick
Recipe
- 1 to make the rub: in a small bowl, combine all rub ingredients.
- 2 brush melted butter on both sides of steaks; sprinkle rub to taste on both sides of the steaks. save any leftover spice rub in an airtight container for future use.
- 3 grill ham over direct medium heat for 4-6 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time.
- 4 slice each cut into four quarters and serve immediately.
