chocolate cookies

Ingredients

• Servings: 2
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups cake flour

Recipe

• preheat oven to 350 degrees f (180 degrees c).
• cream brown sugar, shortening, melted chocolate, egg and buttermilk.
• add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
• drop greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. ice with chocolate cookie buttercream frosting when still warm but not hot.
