Homestyle Chicken And Noodles

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 3 chicken breasts (with bone)
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 lbs frozen egg noodles (i use reames) or 2 lbs homemade noodles (i use reames)
- 4 (8 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
Recipe
- 1 boil noodles and drain.
- 2 in a seprate pot boil chicken untill falling off bone. set aside and let cool.after cooling off de-bone the chicken and dice the breast meat in 1/2 inch cubes. set aside.
- 3 in a dutch oven melt butter and saute onions,celery and carrots until onions are soft ( you still want a little crunch to the celery and carrots).
- 4 add all your chicken,and chicken broth then noodles stir and simmer for 20 minutes.
- 5 now add your cream of chicken soup ,salt pepper and garlic powder. let simmer another 25-30 minutes.stirring occasionally.
- 6 this is the perfect dish for those bitter cold days in febuary when you cannot wait for spring.
