Homestyle Chicken And Noodles

Total Time: 45 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 chicken breasts (with bone)
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 lbs frozen egg noodles (i use reames) or 2 lbs homemade noodles (i use reames)
  • 4 (8 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
  • 32 ounces chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 boil noodles and drain.
  • 2 in a seprate pot boil chicken untill falling off bone. set aside and let cool.after cooling off de-bone the chicken and dice the breast meat in 1/2 inch cubes. set aside.
  • 3 in a dutch oven melt butter and saute onions,celery and carrots until onions are soft ( you still want a little crunch to the celery and carrots).
  • 4 add all your chicken,and chicken broth then noodles stir and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 5 now add your cream of chicken soup ,salt pepper and garlic powder. let simmer another 25-30 minutes.stirring occasionally.
  • 6 this is the perfect dish for those bitter cold days in febuary when you cannot wait for spring.
