Grandma's Brisket Roast

Total Time: 5 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 6 lbs beef brisket (not to lean)
  • 3 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • onion salt
  • barbecue sauce (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 rub meat all over with liquid smoke and spices.
  • 2 refridgerate overnight in a 13 x 9 inch foil covered pan.
  • 3 to roast, sprinkle with pepper and worcestershire sauce.
  • 4 cook at 275° for 5 hours (still covered with foil).
  • 5 if desired, cover with bbq sauce and bake uncovered another hour at 275°.
  • 6 make sure when you slice, you cut across the grain!
  • 7 nummy!
