Grandma's Asparagus

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or to taste)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 12 saltine crackers

Recipe

  • 1 cut asparagus into 1-inch pieces and cook in a small amount of water with a dash of salt just until tender. drain.
  • 2 add butter to taste. set aside.
  • 3 gently warm (but do not boil) enough milk to cover asparagus.
  • 4 for each portion, place 3 saltine crackers in bottom of a sauce dish, top with a portion of the buttered asparagus and pour on milk to cover about 3/4 of asparagus.
