Peppernuts

Total Time: 17 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 7 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup (karo)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon anise flavoring

Recipe

  • 1 mix and store in refrigerator overnight.
  • 2 make into 3/8 inch rope and cut into small slices about the width of a pencil.
  • 3 bake at 375 degrees for about 7 minutes.
