Phoenix Date Pudding

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 7/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 dissolve brown sugar in water and pour into 9 x 11 baking pan.
  • 3 mix remaining ingredients together thoroughly and pour over the syrup.
  • 4 bake for 25 minutes.
  • 5 serve warm with whipped cream.
