Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 7/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 dissolve brown sugar in water and pour into 9 x 11 baking pan.
- 3 mix remaining ingredients together thoroughly and pour over the syrup.
- 4 bake for 25 minutes.
- 5 serve warm with whipped cream.
