Easy Versatile Slow Cooker Chili

Total Time: 12 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 12 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb stewing beef
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar salsa
  • 1 (20 ounce) can red beans
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar roasted red peppers
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (6 ounce) package goldfish crackers

Recipe

  • 1 at bedtime add one jar of your favorite salsa (mild, medium or hot) to the stew beef.
  • 2 cook on low overnight.
  • 3 in the morning stir the mixture.
  • 4 add the beans, diced tomatoes, roasted red peppers and chili powder.
  • 5 add water if you like a thinner chili.
  • 6 cook on low all day.
  • 7 to serve, top with onion, cheese and goldfish crackers.
  • 8 i have used chicken breast instead of beef. it needs to be shredded in the morning.
