St. Louis Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
Recipe
- 1 in a medium size saucepan, combine all the ingredients, adjust heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 2 remove from heat and cool. store in refrigerator tightly covered. the sauce is better if allowed to sit 24 hours before using.
