Ingredients

- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 450.
- 2 sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
- 3 stir in corn meal.
- 4 combine egg, milk, and oil.
- 5 add to dry ingredients.
- 6 pour in greased 8 or 9 inch square pan.
- 7 bake 25 to 30 minutes.
- 8 let cool 5 minutes before cutting into 2 inch squares.
