Mexican Oysters On The Half Shell

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 35 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked and left on the half shell
  • crusty french bread

Recipe

  • 1 combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • 2 season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 3 let stand 30 minutes.
  • 4 preheat broiler.
  • 5 arrange the oysters on a broiler proof pan.
  • 6 spoon salsa evenly over oysters.
  • 7 broil until heated through, about 5 mniutes.
  • 8 serve with french bread.
