Easy Chilli Beans

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cans red kidney beans, drained
- 1 can chopped tomato
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 1/4-1/2 cup water (optional)
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 pinch paprika
- salt and pepper
- chili pepper
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in pan.
- 2 add onion and cook on medium heat until softened.
- 3 add the kidney beans and tomatoes, then stir in the rest of the ingredients.
- 4 bring to a slight boil.
- 5 simmer for approx 20 minutes (longer if you like), stirring occasionally.
- 6 serve with rice.
